The idea of Islamic Radio in the Tamil language was conceived and initiated by the Bisme team in 2015. After extensive efforts, it finally materialised and Bisme Radio’s service commenced in March 2017. The objective of Bisme Radio is to educate, entertain, connect and also to provide a support interface for Tamil Muslim communities locally as well as globally. This is especially necessary during our current era of challenges with terrorism and radicalisation, as there is a growing need to emphasise on moderate Islam and to promote inter-religious harmony.

Bisme Radio’s programs are carefully curated and edited with extreme importance on not affecting the norms of our highly diverse society in any way. Every effort is being taken to ensure our programs promote inter-religious tolerance, cohesion and harmony as well as to promote mutual respect and acceptance of our differences. Other than carefully vetted speeches/sermons, we provide a good varied mix of songs, Quran recitations, translations as well as timely prayer calls

We are constantly adding more interesting and engaging programs so that our service is useful and relevant to our community. Our programs are having an excellent reach and good mix of variety today. We are receiving great feedback and compliments from our listeners on the quality of our programs.
